Institutional Profile
Members of the Musée’s management team have distinct yet complementary mandates in carrying out the various facets of the institution’s mission.
The MNBAQ is administered by a board of directors chaired by Ms. Christiane Germain. The General Direction is assumed by M. Jean-Luc Murray.
DIRECTOR GENERAL
The mandate of the Director General is to define the orientations, objectives and means necessary to carrying out the mission of the Musée and to ensure that these are observed in practice. The Director also has the mandate of planning, organising, managing, coordinating and supervising all of the Musée’s activities while observing its management structure.

ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTION
The mandate of the Assistant Executive Direction is to provide the services necessary for the museum's operations in terms of financial, human, material and technological resources management. It includes two departments (Talent and Culture and Information Technology) and three services (security, technical and financial). It is also responsible for the implementation, execution and monitoring of process optimization within the institution. The Direction implements and administers the policies, directives and practices related to the administration of the Museum.

The Talent and Culture Division establishes and monitors human resources objectives and action plans in support of the Museum's strategic orientations. In a context of change and in concert with the management team, it implements concrete management practices that support an organizational culture based on collaborative work and aim to provide teams with a stimulating and positive work environment
Director of Information Technology: Patrick Lefebvre
The Information Technology Department is responsible for information systems and technologies and has the mandate to support and collaborate in the development and implementation of the museum's digital strategy. It is responsible for IT architecture and planning, application portfolio management, infrastructure, technical services to various clients, technology project management, and information security and computer support.

EXHIBITIONS and international partnerships division
The mandate of the Exhibitions and International Partnerships Division is to define the Museum's programming framework and to develop exhibition programming strategies. In collaboration with partners of all kinds, this department organizes all operations related to the realization of temporary exhibitions and exhibitions of the collections, including curating, art publishing, museography and the movement of works of art.
The Exhibitions and International Partnerships Division provides support for the realization of the Museum's projects, including innovative research and development initiatives, and for the planning of the new Riopelle pavilion currently underway.

COLLECTIONS AND RESEARCH DIVISION
The mandate of the Collections and Research Division is to acquire works of art for the Musée’s collections and to ensure their management, archiving, conservation and public access. It also carries out research activities focused on the use and development of the collections. In this respect it manages and develops the library’s holdings.

ARTS OUTREACH and visitor experience division
The Arts Outreach and Visitor Experience Division is responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out the Musée’s educational and cultural activities and programs and contributes to disseminating emerging artistic practices. It conceives outreach strategies adapted to different sectors of the public and develops partnerships that foster the institution’s involvement in the community.
The Division is also in charge of visitor reception, the volunteer program and digital strategies.

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING DIVISION
The Communications and Marketing Division's mandate oversees the planning and execution of activities related to promoting the Musée and the publicity for all of its activities (exhibitions, educational and cultural programs, the boutique and rental facilities).
The Division also plans, coordinates and carries out the Musée's services and activites aimed at creating new sources of independent revenue. It also coordinates the Musée's business development and commercial partnerships.
